Jarre concert canceled in Italy: the "Wailing Wall"!

On 21 July it was officially announced the cancellation of the concert Jarre Powerstock of Albany.

First birth dalla buona fede del Maestro (perché se non avessi questa fiducia non avrei mai potuto dar vita a questo blog ne tanto meno portarlo avanti). Non credo che un artista del suo calibro e con una carriera così brillante alle spalle, si sporchi oggi, nell’era di Internet, in simili giochetti sperando che i fan non se ne accorgano!

Teo&Tea è secondo me un album divertente e allegro , chiaramente non all’altezza dei suoi classici, frutto di una trasformazione artistica partita da Metamorphoses (nome non casuale) e scesa ai livelli decadenti di Geometry of love e Session 2000 .

Non nascondo però quella strana inquietudine che ho provato vedendo il famoso video sull’ MC808 . Mi son detto:” Ma come, uno come lui, usa roba già preconfezionata e ci fa metà album? … Dove sta la creatività e la fantasia dell’artista?” Riflettendo con il senno di poi e anche grazie ai vostri commenti, ritengo che Jarre abbia preso solo spunto dalla groove-box per realizzare quei 6 pezzi di Teo&Tea così come un pittore o uno scultore trae vantaggio dagli ultimi strumenti che la tecnologia gli mette a disposizione.

E poi vorrei ricordare che, oltre all’MC808, è stata usata una lunga serie di apparecchiature che alcuni di voi, molto più tecnici di me, ben conoscono e che, pensando di fare opera gradita, vado ad elencare così come sono riportati sul libretto di Teo&Tea:
Virus polar, SH201, VP550, Radias, Minimoog Voyager, Andromeda, V-Synth, Protools HD3, Fantom X8.

Beh, io non me ne intendo molto ma … devo aspettarmi un video su youtube per ognuno di questi strumenti !?! ;-)

Powerstock Festival: Jarre will be there!

Ebbene sì, dopo 12 anni Jean Michel Jarre torna finalmente ad esibirsi in Italia !

L’ultima volta infatti, risale al 1995 quando partecipò ad un mini-concerto a Torino (“Festa Italiana” in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in occasione del lancio delle FIAT Bravo e Brava).

Adesso torna nell’ambito di una manifestazione ben più seria e in qualità di Ambasciatore dell’UNESCO . Si tratta della prima edizione del Powerstock Festival che si terrà al Parco Eolico di Albanella in provincia di Salerno il 26, 27 e 28 Luglio 2007 .
